Old downtown buildings are our specialty. Have you been to downtown Celina, Farmersville, or Wylie in North Texas lately? We were the first renovation contractor in each of these communities. Others could only copy our quality workmanship. All of the buildings that have been renovated in downtown Celina on the square and on Pecan Street are our handiwork. We are just waiting for the opportunity to begin on your downtown building.

Historic Preservation - Downtown Celina
Beginning in 2005, Select Builders began a working relationship with Van Nichols of Celina Real Estate and to date we have renovated seven storefronts on the square in downtown Celina for them. Van Nichols and Buddy Minett have given us Letters of Recommendation that you will find on our Testimonials page. The most recent building completed in late 2010, is the home of Papa Gallo’s Mexican Grill. You can visit them Tuesday through Sunday for fine Mexican cuisine.
Historic Preservation - Downtown Farmersville
Select Builders began work in Farmersville in 2000 at the Daniel & Brown building. This was a complete building renovation. We successfully accommodated two businesses on the ground floor so they could stay open as we worked on the storefront and then the interiors. We also completely renovated the second floor into offices for the engineering firm of Daniel & Brown, Inc. In recent years, as their engineering business has expanded, Select Builders has gone back into the lower levels and created more office space. See Eddy Daniel’s two Letters of Recommendation on our Testimonials page.
In late 2000 and for most of 2001, we completely renovated Dyer Drug Store. This involved both levels of the two story building with over 10,800 sq.ft. Select Builders renovated the storefront and kept a very busy pharmacy open to customers at all times. This is a very large building on a corner; the front is 50 feet and the side street is 125 feet. The owners then moved their pharmacy so we could enlarge the existing pharmacy area to triple its capacity and counter area. Later, we completely renovated the second level re-creating the early 20th Century charm with 21st Century amenities. This level had ten office suite possibilities.
Historic Preservation - Downtown Wylie
In late 1998, downtown Wylie incurred a devastating fire that destroyed several buildings. A friend wanted to restore 2 buildings; he called on Barry Warner and Select Builders to handle the project for him. Eventually he bought several more buildings. Select Builders did a total of 7 buildings for him during 1999.
